Is there a fee to join the IX Institute?
There is no cost to join, and with your membership you will have access to free and valuable content such as webinars, templates, tools, communities and more. Our premium content, such as our Title IX Certificate Courses and Refresher Courses, must be purchased but are not a requirement to join the IX Institute.

Do I need to take the role-specific certificate course before taking advance courses?
Though these courses are a higher level than our certificate courses, we do not have any prerequisites for enrolling in advanced courses. Choose the level you are most comfortable with to build your Title IX skills and knowledge; however, we recommend that those new to Title IX begin with our certificate courses in the role they are entering.
-
Can I access my paid courses at any time?
Our courses are available virtually and on-demand. Following your purchase, you will be able to access the course and train at your own pace. You will have access to the course for six months and can return as many times as needed.
We also offer custom courses, and in-person training. Contact our Training Coordinator, Cara Kuhn, [email protected], for more information. We are prepared to meet your training needs!

Will I have access to the presentation slides following completion of my courses?
Your course registration provides six-month access to a PDF copy of the presentation slides. You will also be provided with instructions on posting the course materials on your Title IX website to comply with Title IX requirements.

I've heard a lot about Title IX recently. What is happening?
The 2024 Title IX Regulations were released in April 2024, and included several substantive changes that affected each Title IX role and the way Title IX is implemented on campuses and K-12 school districts. The implementation date for the 2024 regulations was August 1, 2024. However, throughout the summer of 2024, many states filed injunctions blocking the 2024 Title IX Regulations from being implemented. Because of these injunctions, some schools are still following the 2020 Title IX Regulations while other schools are following the 2024 Title IX Regulations.
On January 16, 2025, following a federal district court ruling, the Department of Education announced that the Final Rule and the 2024 Regulations are no longer effective in any jurisdiction through a Dear Colleague Letter on February 4, 2025.
All our available trainings reflect the requirements under the 2020 regulations.

What other types of trainings do you offer?
Aside from our role-specific certificate courses, we offer Refresher courses which help Title IX administrators take a short, cost-effective training to refresh specific skills.
We also can provide you and your institution in-person or custom trainings. Contact us for more information.
