Is there a fee to join the IX Institute?
There is no cost to join, and with your membership you will have access to free and valuable monthly content such as webinars, templates, tools, and more. Our premium content, such as our Title IX Certification Courses and Critical Conversations must be purchased but are not a requirement to join the IX Institute.

Do I need to take the Level I (beginner) course for my role before moving to the other levels?
Though our Title IX Certification Courses build upon each other, we do not have any prerequisites for enrolling in each level. Choose the level you are most comfortable with to build your Title IX skills and knowledge, however, we recommend that those new to Title IX begin with our Foundational (beginner) level courses.
-
Can I access my paid courses at any time?
Our offered Certification and Critical Conversations Courses are available virtually and on-demand. Following the course release, you will be able to access the course and train at your own pace. Once purchased, you will have access to the course for six months and can return as many times as needed. As we expand the IX Institute we will engage in a variety of live training opportunities. We also offer custom courses, and in-person training. Contact our Director of Training, Tawny Alonzo, [email protected], for more information. We are prepared to meet your training needs! Our free webinars will be live events to which students will have unlimited access.
-
Will I have access to the presentation slides following completion of my courses?
Your course registration provides six-month access to a PDF copy of the presentation slides. You will also be provided with instructions on posting the course materials on your Title IX website to comply with training requirements under Title IX.

I've heard Title IX is changing. Is it better to wait and take these courses once the changes have been finalized?
The Title IX Notice of Proposed Rulemaking was released on June 23, 2022, and proposed several substantive changes that will affect each Title IX role and the way Title IX is implemented on your campus. In the meantime, schools are required to be in compliance with the 2020 Final Rule. There is not a timeline for when new regulations will be released, meaning institutions could be under the 2020 Final Rule for up to a year. Our trainings will continue to reflect the requirements under current regulations. However, to ensure those taking our Title IX Foundational level Certification Courses do not have to choose between training under current regulations or postponing training to a later time, we will offer a free enrollment to an addendum course specific to your role upon the release of new regulations.

What other types of trainings do you offer?
Aside from our on-demand trainings and Critical Conversations, we can provide you and your institution in-person or custom trainings. Contact us for more information.
